China Abrasives Industry Hainan Corporation, the predecessor was China Abrasives Import & Export Corporation, which was approved by the former National Machinery Commission and the State Import and Export Management Committee and founded in 1981. It's a leading enterprise in the import and export business of China abrasives industry, and the Chairman Unit of Abrasives Branch of China Machine Tool Industry Association. The company takes abrasives and related industry trade services as its core business. After years of hard work and exploration, the company has accumulated a wealth of international market and trade resources, and its business covers more than 80 countries and regions.

In September 2013, the company joined the SINOMACH Precision Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the world's top 500 China National Machinery Industry Corporation (abbreviated as SINOMACH). In 1956, White Dove Abrasives Company (WHITE DOVE) was established, which was one of the 156 key construction projects during the national "First Five-Year Plan" period.
In 1956, Chengdu Tool Research Institute (CTRI) was established as the only comprehensive scientific research institution in the tool industry in China.
In 1958, Zhengzhou Research Institute for Abrasives & Grinding (ZZSM) was established, as the only comprehensive research institute in abrasives industry.
In 1958, Luoyang Bearing Research Institute (ZYS) was established, as a national first-class comprehensive research institute in bearing industry.

1960s-1970s

In 1960, ZYS successfully developed the first batch of A23 precision instrument bearings, four types of high temperature and high speed A-level precision bearings.
In 1963, ZZSM successfully created China's first synthetic diamond.
In 1966, ZZSM successfully created China's first man-made cubic boron nitride.
Afterwards, ZZSM successively created a series of super material products, industry-specific production and testing equipment and instruments, which filled the domestic gap.

In 2013, CAEC joined the SINOMACH-PI.
